TIRANA, Nov 10 – The deposit portfolio of commercial banks operating in Albania totaled 365 billion leks at the end of September, up 0.4% from a month earlier and 11.9% higher on the year, the central bank said last week.
The commercial banks’ deposit portfolio totaled 348 billion leks at the end of 2007.
The loan portfolio of commercial banks in Albania totaled 370 billion leks at the end of September, up by 3.7% from a month earlier and 45.2% higher on the year.
Albania’s broad M3 money supply totaled 821 billion leks at the end of September, up by 1.4% from a month earlier and 14.8% higher on the year, central bank statistics showed.
