First Festival Bar opens on Durres beach

TIRANA, June 21 – Tourists to the coastal city of Durres will be entertained during the whole summer by an event called Festival Bar Albania. The event which opened on June 18 at the Golem beach will accompany tourists through the whole summer until the end of July.
A professional troupe of young singers, instrumentalists, ballet dancers and actors will perform in the festival’s first edition.
The festival’s organizers, musician Gjergj Leka and director Alfred Trebicka, said the event is aimed at promoting and improving the image of Albanian tourism in Durres, the country’s biggest tourist destination.
Organizers say the festival which aims at becoming an annul event will stage events every day starting from 10.00 to 17,00 with fitness, games, dancing trainings, karaoke, diving, fishing and even horse-riding.
The evening will offer gala nights of music including traditional folk songs, dancing and youth competitions.
