Foreign minister participates in OSCE meeting in Kazakhstan

TIRANA, July 19 – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ilir Meta last week took part in the Almaty, Kazakhstan proceedings of the Informal Meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
On July 16-17, foreign ministers of the OSCE member states discussed the challenges and threats facing the Euro-Atlantic and Euro-Asian security, the OSCE role in preventing, managing and resolving conflicts, and the improvement of its instruments in this field.
Meta held a speech about Albania’s vision on the role of OSCE in the security of the European continent, especially in the Western Balkans.
He also held a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts there.
