Academic artist from Kosovo Gani Gashi recently openedan exhibition of paintings in Bavaria. At the opening ceremony, Gottfried Schreder, the manager of the “Schreder” Gallery in Augsburg declared, “Artist Gani Gashi and other artists who create in Kosovo, do not discover the origin of colours entirely in the works by world artists, but within the system of colours they have witnessed within their own country, in their own national events, within the colour of their emblematic flag, the colour of blood shed in the flow of the tragic events of the time. The Albanian artists of Kosovo come from a school with an accentuated identity that is typically Ballkans. (Tirana Times Staff)
