TIRANA, Nov. 30 – Germany donated a considerable amount of military equipment on Thursday in an effort to assist the Albanian army’s reforms on its road toward integration as a full NATO member, the Albanian Defense Ministry said. The aid was in the form of 28 vehicles, with a total value of 150,000 euros. “Today’s aid is a meaningful part of the German government’s readiness and permanent cooperation,” said vice Minister Zana Xhuka. “That is an expression of encouragement and support and it will help increase quality in the training and teaching process of the command.” German Ambassador Hans Peter Annen, whose country has been continuously helping the Albanian army since 1992, said the new aid opened a new road of cooperation.
