TIRANA, Sep. 17 – Prime Minister Sali Berisha said Monday that he would ask the parliament to consider a resolution that would denounce the former communist regime of the late dictator, Enver Hoxha.
The reaction followed news that slogans supporting Hoxha were heard at the ceremony of commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the Peza Conference organized by Tirana townhall headed by the opposition Socialist Party leader Edi Rama.
“I would suggest to the parliament to undertake a resolution accepted by all political forces in which the Albanian parliament will sanction the blame made to the history of the people,” he said at a meeting of the Democrats’ parliamentary group.
