TIRANA, Sep. 14 – The Interior Ministry reported Tuesday that this year they have extradited 42 Albanians to serve their prison terms back home.
These persons were declared at large with international arrest warrants and Interpol has strengthened cooperation with counterparts in other countries.
For 19 of them the imprisonment was for murder, 12 for theft and prostitution, four for drug trafficking, three for human traffic, two for causing injury, rape and deceit one each.
Two more are expected to be extradited this month, one for murder and one for drug trafficking, the ministry said.
