TIRANA, August 3 – A young Italian man has drowned while swimming in a small river in the northern district of Kurbin. Police said Andrea Ruatola, 25, drowned soon after entering the Skuraj river.
An investigation has been launched into the causes of his death while the dead body of the Italian man was sent to the morgue of the local town of Lac for an autopsy.
Local witnesses said the Italian man who had traveled from Tirana on Tuesday died 2-3 minutes after entering the river, suspecting of a heart attack.
