Italy to help Albania’s integration into NATO

TIRANA, Sep. 15 – Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha met Saturday with the Italian vice Defense Minister, Lorenzo Forcieri, to discuss cooperation between the two countries in the military sphere.
Italy is a main supporter of the reform of the Albanian army and the two countries have had very successful military cooperation, which they intend to deepen further.
Forcieri highly valued Albania’s participation in international peacekeeping missions in Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq and repeated his government’s pledge to support Albania’s integration efforts into NATO and the European Union.
