TIRANA, June 13 – Albanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Edmond Haxhinasto met with his Italian counterpart Franco Frattini during the meeting of Foreign Ministers of member countries of the Central European Initiative which was held in Trieste.
They discussed bilateral cooperation and the recent developments in Albania.
Frattini also spoke about Albania’s local elections process saying that “the law should be applied and left to the courts to decide. Tribunal decisions should be accepted by all parties and the result must be respected.”
Minister Frattini also stressed that respect for law and its implementation, as defined in national law, is a vital for Albania’s progress towards European Union integration.
