KESH and Kosovo’s KEK increase cooperation

TIRANA, March 2 – Albanian Power Corporation KESH and Kosovo’s KEK pledged to further increase their cooperation.
KESH head Muharrem Stojku made a visit to Prishtina to meet with his counterpart and discuss how to further advance the bilateral cooperation in the exchange of electricity on both sides of the border.
Their cooperation is thought to assist each other in preserving production at the appropriate time.
Albania is mainly based on hydro power production while Kosovo on coal-based energy.
Officials of both corporations also decided to convene in the near future a regional meeting of the power authorities in order to increase cooperation among them.
