Key rate kept at historic low as consumer prices struggle to recover

TIRANA, Nov. 10 – Albania’s central bank has decided to keep the key interest rate unchanged at a historic low of 1.25 percent as average inflation rate in the first ten months of the year hit a record low of 1.13 percent, almost 2 percentage points below the Bank of Albania’s target of 3 percent, estimated to have a positive impact stimulating economic growth and consumption.
