TIRANA – The Athens-based embassy of the Republic of Korea will organize a “Korean Week in Albania” from 10 to 12 November 2016 to strengthen cultural exchanges and mutual understanding in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and Albania.
During the Korean Week, the Korean Embassy will hold the Korean Film Night, the Ensemble Korea Concert and the Korean Ambassador’s Cup Taekwondo Championship whose admissions are free.
The Republic of Korea and Albania have been building cooperative and friendly relations in various fields such as people-to-people exchanges, trade, and development since the establishment of the diplomatic ties on 22 August 1991. There is much potential to further enhance the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Republic of Korea is now the 13th largest economy in the world. It achieved rapid economic development and mature democracy for several decades and wishes to share such experience with other countries including Albania. This year only, the Korean government invited 10 Albanian government officers for the various training courses on intellectual property System, judicial justice, e-government and others.
