Kosovo to start highway link to Albania this spring

TIRANA, March 11 – Kosovo will to start the construction of a highway that would link it with neighboring Albania and the sea.
Albania will complete their section mid-year from Durres to Kukes and Morini border crossing point, thus giving a link to the Balkans’ youngest state to the sea.
Tirana has also offered its port of Shengjin in the north to serve primarily for Kosovo trade exchange.
The Kosovar parliament has to approve a bill regarding the compensation of landowners, a move that will likely be done next month, and once the bill passes, the project will start rapidly, according to lawmaker Haki Shatri.
