Leonardo Voci opens “Modern art” exhibition

TIRANA, April 19 – Leonardo Voci is recently introducing himself with his own Gallery “Modern Art” at the premises of Sheraton Hotel in Tirana, the first of its kind in the elite environment. This new undertaking is coming after his successful exhibition at National Historical Museum premises last February when the artist introduced to the public a retrospective exhibition consisting of 250 paintings in frames and 150 other paintings without frames but with an interesting presentation.
Since 2003, the extravagant painter Leonardo Voci has permanently exhibited his paintings at Sheraton Hotel in Tirana, so the opening of his own Gallery there is not a coincidence at all.
What is most evident in his exhibitions, in addition to the large number of paintings and the special artistic language, is the colorful of his paintings which always brings a beautiful artistic picture in each presentation.
“If Modern Art has not a psychological breakdown, should definitely have a diffraction of colors. Therefore, it is very important the artist to know very well the entire palette of colors. Through colors, I want to give a fair indication to my audience. I describe myself as an artist of colors, not a political artist,” says Leonardo Voci.
The art criticism has described him as a painter of exquisite taste, high intelligence and the master of a psychological diffraction of the human portrait.
The painter has an intensive artistic activity not only in the Albanian environment, but also abroad. He has opened many personal exhibitions in many countries worldwide. As described by the international criticism, Leonardo Voci brought another image of the 21st century Albanian art in this exhibition.
Referring to his works and the dynamics that characterizes it, Voci can be considered as a cyclone or tornado, not at all quiet. He is different from others. He has more than 2000 works and is never the same; always different, furious, a tornado which takes you forward to another world, completely different, strange and abstract.
He is a powerful artist, diffracts the colors, mix and processes them and at the end he achieves an indisputable success.
He snatches with his strong emotions, is unpredictable and energetic, he is as infuriating as sincere in mixing the colors, creating a hazardous coloring. He is rattling as the water of a brook, which bites and skeins with roots; he is an emotional extreme, didactic and ignores academic rules and laws, experts and curators say.
He is already an Albanian artistic phenomenon, present with his royal stamp in coloring.
Living these last two years (2008-2010) in the Hellenic capital, which joins the ancient Athens with modern one, gave Leonardo Voci a magical power in order to arm his fans with weapons of privacy thoughts and confidentiality of his fantasy leading him into the oasis of masculine and feminine integrity.
