TIRANA, Aug. 31 – A manhunt is underway in Albania and the United Kingdom for the people responsible of trying to smuggle weapons through the mail earlier this week. Albanian security and customs officials at Tirana’s international airport foiled the attempt when they discovered three postal packages containing AK-47 parts on Aug. 25 during a pre-boarding scan procedure. Fingerprint and video evidence led to the arrest of a 32-year-old Shijak man, who had handed the packages to the international courier service, DHL, using fake shipper and receiver names.
