Marina to be constructed in Albania

TIRANA, May 10 – Albania has launched a 32-year concession tender for the construction of a 13.2-million-euro marina on the country’s central Adriatic coast, in the Lalez Bay, north of the port city of Durr쳠and 50 kilometers from the capital Tirana.
It will house 400 yachts with lengths of six to 15 meters.
A bonus of 8.3 per cent in the future evaluation of bids was awarded to the local company Ener Alb-Projects sh.p.k., which has prepared technical and financial studies for the project.
The deadline for submission of bids is June 18.
Albania, like Croatia, seems to be making efforts towards the development of nautical tourism as a growing segment of its tourist industry.
