TIRANA, Oct. 25 – The Albanian government on Monday approved a draft law on setting up a center for pharmacology which will be responsible for monitoring the launched drugs for the harmful or undesirable effects of human health, and take measures for their prevention and health protection of citizens.
Health Ministry officials explained that the center of pharmacology will cooperate closely with the Institute of Security and Healthcare and it will be part of the global structures composed of analog centers, which operate on the basis of an information system that provides timely information to users if there is a problem in the use of Albanian medicines.
the draft law also provides for replacement of the term “trading license holder” with the term “holder of marketing authorization” for the purpose of the draft full compliance with European Union directives.
