Meta discusses political developments in Kosovo

TIRANA, Dec. 19 – Albania’s Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta was in Kosovo last week where he took part at a gala evening organized by Tirana’s embassy there and also met with major leaders in the neighboring country.
The event was focused on promoting Albanian culture and products there. There were calls for a stronger promotion of such products in both countries.
But Meta used the visit to also meet with political leaders in Kosovo, academics and diplomatic corps accredited there.
His counterpart Kadri Veseli, recently elected in the post, thanked Meta for Albania’s continuous support to Kosovo. They both stressed the need for further intensification of cooperation between Parliaments.
Meta also met with Rexhep Qosja and many other personalities of Kosovo like AAK’s leader Ramush Haradinaj. They discussed the political developments in both countries and shared the mutual opinion for further intensification of relations between Albania and Kosovo.
