TIRANA, Jan. 22 – Albania’s Ministry of Defence has honored Romania’s military attache, Col. Daniel Plescan, with the Distinguished Services Medal.
Col. Plestan, who is leaving his post this month, had played an active role in the diplomatic community, serving as dean of military attaches to Tirana.
Defence Minister Arben Imami, said Col. Plescan’s work in Albania for more than four years had shown his deep dedication to the duties toward his country and NATO, to which both countries belong, as well as feelings of friendship for Albania and Albanians. The minister thanked the Romanian defence attache for his work and his additional duties as the dean of defence attaches in this country in recent years, “a role that he has played brilliantly and perfectly.”
“I am leaving with the best impressions about your country and Albanian people. I will gladly come back to visit with my family,” Col. Plescan said.
