TIRANA, May 28 – Albanian President Alfred Moisiu met Monday with a group of the Greek business community in Albania which is led by Stephanos Octapodas.
The Greek businessmen reviewed with Moisiu the activities they are involved with in Albania and also their cooperation with other countries.
The Greek businessmen praised Moisiu’s efforts in creating an atmosphere of dialogue between the business community and the executive.
This was noted when the president heard the concerns of the business community and returned to parliament a law on taxation which the business community continues to oppose.
Moisiu hailed Greek investment in Albania and expressed his desire for deepening and continued cooperation.
The president also commented on the improved climate for investment urging other, and larger companies, invest in Albania.
Greek business remains among the largest investors in Albania. In Albania, the two mobile phone companies and four banks belong are Greek owned.
