Moisiu visits Kosovo

TIRANA, June 1 – Former Albanian President Alfred Moisiu made a visit to neighboring Kosovo to meet with Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu.
Sejdiu thanked Moisiu for his assistance, during his term in office, on Kosovo’s freedom and independence processes.
“The Republic of Albania has been a natural support of our efforts for liberalization and for the country’s development and we are happy with the fact that this support has been never missing, either from the position or the opposition, whoever has governed Albania,” said Sejdiu.
He also praised Moisiu for his contribution in assisting Kosovo in its Euro-Atlantic integration process.
Moisiu, on his part, highly evaluated Kosovo’s progress since its independence.
“Kosovo’s independence is proving as a factor of peace and stability in the region,” said Moisiu, adding that its place in the future was in the European Union, NATO and other international structures.
