TIRANA, June 3 – The southern UNESCO World Heritage town of Gjirokastra will host from June 4 to 6 the fourth edition of the “Musical meetings of two worlds.”
The festival, organized by the “Argjiro” French-Albanian Association will open on Friday afternoon at the castle of Gjirokastra with a concert by soprano Eva Golemi who will be accompanied by the string quartet of the Arts Academy of Prishtina.
Events will continue on Saturday with a conference on culture in inter-Albanian communications and its presentation in Europe.
Polyphonic groups from Albania and Macedonia will also perform in the festival.
