New German-funded landfill, road link inaugurated

SHKODRA, July 24 – Prime Minister Sali Berisha inaugurated a new regional landfill in Bushat, northwestern Albania together with German Ambassador to Albania Carola Mueller-Holtkemper as well as representatives from Becker Albania, the company that is going to manage the facility.
The landfill was a project funded by the cooperation of the Albanian government with KfW and the World Bank. The landfill cost was 4.5 million Euros and its capacity will be 1 million cubic meters. On Saturday, Berisha also inaugurated the completion of the coast-road NST Bashtova Gose, Kavaja, linking the coast highway Bashtova NST-Rrogozhin롋avaja. It cost 970 million lek and facilitates the movement of 25,000 people of the municipalities Gose and Kavaja Kryevidh.
