The manual gives readers an overview of legal and regulatory requirements in connection with corporate governance

TIRANA, Dec. 6 – Albanian managers will now have access to a specific local manual that gives executive directors and shareholders a general review of corporate governance structure, the latest practices, as well as a practical guide designed to help implement good governance.
An event was held in Tirana this week to promote the manual by the Tirana Stock Exchange and the Association of Foreign Investors in Albania. Representatives of the Albanian business community, banks and other institutions also attended.
The manual was published by the International Finance Corporation, part of the World Bank Group, with support from the Swiss Government through the State Secretariat for Economic Relations.
The manual gives readers an overview of legal and regulatory requirements in connection with the corporate governance with legal references and presents the best practices in the field.
It also provides practical examples of how corporate governance standards can be implemented by the executive and directors, so they can meet their obligations.
This manual also comes to help government lawyers, judges, investors and others, through a structure which assesses the level and scope of corporate governance practices in Albanian companies.
