TIRANA, Nov. 19 – More than 30 artists have come together at the annual November exhibition, which is marking is 19th edition following its launch in 1997 when Albania was facing turmoil after the collapse of the pyramid investment schemes and few people were interested in art and came to consider painting as a Socialist realism thing.
Sali Shijaku, Vilson Kilica, Gazmend Leka, Kujtim Buza and Zef Shoshi are some of the well-known artists featured in the November exhibition few years after the collapse of the country’s communist regime by painters of different generations who share a common interest in painting as a genre and its continuation as a traditional art form in Albania.
The exhibition at the FAB gallery of the University of Arts will remain open until Nov. 15.
