TIRANA, Oct. 16 – Bringing together local and regional Albanian artists, the Oda Dibrane folklore festival will mark this year its 20th edition. The festival scheduled for October 23 to 26 will be held in its traditional venue in Peshkopia town and move to Debar, in neighbouring Macedonia, for one day.
Since 1994, the town of Peshkopi has regularly hosted the “Oda Dibrane” festival (Dibra Guest- Room) showcasing the cultural, historical, ethnographic and human values of the north-eastern region of Dibra.
The Oda Dibrane is a festival of several days with musicians, dancers and singers in group or individually from what might be called the Diaspora of Dibra as local people were spread all over the Balkan peninsula and into Turkey as renowned craftsmen and traders during the Ottoman period.
