It was indeed all Albanian for Onufri 2009. The 16th edition of International Visual Arts Competition Onufri ended on January 19th with the announcement of this year’s winners.
Painter Hasan Nallbani was awarded the first prize for his work “Composition” (oil on canvas). The jury headed by Francesco Poli, awarded the prize with the motivation “for the quality and originality that characterizes his painting. For freedom in composition that is characterized by a vital expressive tension, features being very actual nowadays”.
The second place award was shared among two young artists, Aldi Zgjani, for Sit still seeking, an acrylic on canvas diptych and Enkelejd Zonja for Tale from `97, oil on canvas.
