TIRANA, March 9 – The opposition Socialist Party lawmakers will ask the parliament to create an investigative commission to check the procedures followed mainly from Speaker Jozefina Topalli.
They complaint that Topalli regularly violates the procedural norms punishing the opposition lawmakers and not letting them express themselves.
One of them Saimir Tahiri has already asked the Constitutional Court whether a decision of the parliamentary bureau headed from Topalli was correct in punishing him with a two-week absence from the sessions due to the words he had used speaking there.
The work of the parliament has really turned into a humorous moment for all Albanians.
They are used now to see the opposition lawmakers clash with words with Topalli and Prime Minister Sali Berisha, which is then followed with their punishment with absence for the next sessions.
They also complain that the governing Democrats on purpose changed recently the procedures of the sessions in order to avoid their protests and stop them from denouncing the government.
