Opposition warns Rama to listen well to Brussels warning

TIRANA, Sep 17 – Main opposition Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha, also Tirana mayor, warned Prime Minister Edi Rama to keep a close eye to what European Union officials warned him during his two-day trip there.
Basha said that Rama should stay with its feet on the ground and listen well to European officials telling him that collaboration with the opposition is of fundamental importance in the steps toward the country’s integration into the bloc.
Basha also repeated that the opposition did not intend to cause any blockage to these steps and would be ready to assist and take part at the reforms needed.
But the opposition leader also criticized Rama for his threatening words at the parliament debate and on the fact that his first decision was to take off the country’s president photos from the administration offices, to be replaced with those of Ismail Qemali considered as the founder of the modern Albanian state a century ago.
