TIRANA, May 28 – Official documents that shed light on the Ottoman rule in the Balkans are being featured in a travelling exhibition touring several Albanian cities. Verdicts known as fermans are being displayed in the exhibition which this week travelled to Elbasan after its display in Tirana and Durres.
The Ottoman Civilization in the Balkans exhibition organized by the Yunus Emre Institute features 20 historical documents from the 15th to 20th century during the Ottoman occupation.
