DURRES, TEPELENA, May 12 – Police arrested a 24-year old man in the western port city of Durres who was transporting some two kilograms of heroin.
Saimir Asllani was arrested while on a bus in the Plepa area in Durres when police checked his bus taking him south.
In another operation, police arrested a carrying with half a kilo of hashish in the central city of Elbasan.
The arrest occurred on Monday when police arrested Besnik Bronkeri, 35, after finding 600 kilograms of marijuana in his truck. Bronkeri resisted police when he was stopped and tried to run away. Police shot and injured him prior to his being apprehended.
