SARANDA, Jan. 30 – Police in the southernmost district of Saranda have stopped some 65 foreign citizens trying to enter into the country illegally and then pass over to western European countries.
Police said they had stopped on average 10-12 persons a day and most of them were Palestinians. The others were from other countries in Middle East. They came from neighboring Greece where they were unemployed.
After the detention they are taken at a shelter in Livadhja commune waiting to be extradited back to Greece
