Rama welcomes Kosovo business investment

TIRANA, March 23 – Prime Minister Edi Rama held a visit over weekend in neighboring Kosovo, meeting with senior officials and businessmen in two districts, Gjakove and Peje.
Rama talked with the local authorities there on a number of projects aiming at an increased economic cooperation.
Rama considered as very positive the fact that Gjakova was declared a free economic zone recently by the new municipal administration.
The premier also discussed tourism cooperation. Kosovars are the main source of tourism for Albania, especially during the summer months.
Albanian and Kosovo authorities have started efforts to create a joint economic zone, in an effort to attract more foreign investment.
