Well known Albanian dress designer Rezarta Skifteri held a fashion parade of her latest collection of “Haute Courture” 2008 at the venue of Hotel Sheraton in Tirana. The models had been carefully selected from among the recognized models of the Albanian fashion catwalks, together with five professional models from Prishtina who wore the Skifteri creations, dresses, trousers, cloaks, footwear. Skifteri, who has become a leader in this field in Albania with her creations, particularly following the year 2000, was inspired in this latest collection by the fashion of the Thirties’ of last Century, dominated by ribbons and sashes of all sizes and colours, lace, hair clips, jewelry and other accessories. For some years now, this dress designer has been much sought after to clothe VIPs of the Albanian stages of different shows. This fashion show was held ten years after the fashion designer organised her very first show when she was a student. With her creations she has managed to always attract the attention of the media, which has determined the position she holds in the world of fashion; modern concepts, especially because of the original materials she uses, such as newspapers, films, twigs, glitter etc. (Tirana Times Staff)
