The photograph exhibition by well known Romanian artist Brancus will be open in Tirana for several days more. This exhibition opened in the environments of the National Museum of History in Tirana shows several works of this artist; chronologically the different periods in which this artist of world renown created. He works in bronze, stone, hard metals etc. The “Sleeping Muse” is one of his first works of which there are several copies exhibited in the museums and galleries of London and Paris. The main supporter of this exhibition is the Ambassador of Romania in Albania Mr. Geroge Mik who told the media in Tirana that this exhibition will be traveling to the city of Kocra, a city that has early cultural links with Romania. In 2005 the work of Brancus known as “Bird on the space,” was sold for a record 27.5 million dollars, while in 2001 another sculpture by Brancus “Danaidet” sold for 1.8 million dollars.(Tirana Times Staff)
