“Six characters in search of an author”

TIRANA – Comedy “Six characters in search of an author” by Italian writer Luigi Pirandello will be premiered this weekend at the National Theatre. Directed by Mehmet Xhelili, the comedy brings on stage Fatos Sela, Olta Daku, and Eftiola Lacka. The comedy is staged in the frame of the “Italy, Albania, Two Peoples, One Sea, One Friendship” season of cultural events.
Regarded as one of the most influential plays of the 20th century, “Six Characters in search of an author” is a classic work of the theater of the absurd. The play follows the drama of six fictional, but living and breathing characters, members of one family. The six force their way in on the rehearsal of a theater company and demand that their suffering be played on the stage.
