TIRANA, July 10 – Prosecutor General Theodhori Sollaku used harsh words to answer the accusation from Prime Minister Sali Berisha that he was linked to crime.

In a tit-for-tat answer to the accusation, Sollaku called Berisha’s words “hallucination of politicians with deformed personalities” and that such stands do not serve the stabilization of the country.

Sollaku said that the presidential crisis could not be resolved through the issue of the prosecutor and that politics in the country should bear its responsibilities.

Sollaku went even further, saying when the proper law is passed he would sue the premier for his words.

The Prosecutor General repeated that he did not intend to resign because of politics.

Hours later, after casting his ballot in the parliament, Berisha repeated his accusation that Sollaku was the prime contact for organized crime, the nest of criminal organizations which had ‘caught’ the state.

Berisha again predicted the country was likely going toward new elections due to Sollaku and did not accuse the opposition for creating this situation.
