TIRANA, Nov 17 – Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID) will apply the project “Support for Development of Farmers Associations” to support Albanian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Consumers Protection to create private agricultural cooperatives in Albania.
Last week a workshop on “Role and Importance of Agricultural Cooperatives” was held in Tirana where Spanish Ambassador Manuel Montobbio, agriculture experts, Albanian officials, businessmen and farmers associations took part.
The Spanish government is assisting Albanian institutions to improve legal framework in order to establish agricultural cooperatives in line with European standards.
The workshop encouraged policies of private cooperatives in Albania.
