MIRDITE, Tuesday 17ؓystem Group Italia will invest 15 Mln EUR in the construction of the “Mirdita Tower” complex. The complex will include an Italian hospital of the latest technology, which will offer its service for the entire northern area of Albania, a 5 stories vocational school, a 4-star hotel, and other small towers.
With the construction of the Rreshen-Kalimash highway ending very soon, investors are running to collect its benefits such as the great access to potential tourism that the highway offers. The complex will be built on a hill in the outskirts of Rreshen, next to the intersection connecting the city with the highway.
The original idea of the complex came from Gjon Dedaj, mayor of Rreshen, looking for ways to attract investors and boost tourism in the area. Gjok Pepa, a painter, followed the mayor’s idea with an exhibition model of a complex with typical northern Albanian towers. The model was presented to different investors and System Group Italia, a major Italian consortium, picked up the idea. Alvaro Boscarini, administrator of the consortium, visited the area and construction is expected to start following the completion of the highway itself.
