TIRANA, Nov. 16- The tenth edition of the Albanian book fair, traditionally held in November, this year hosted more than 150 publishing and distributing houses, graphic studios, organization and subjects that feature books as their primary work material. The international Center of Culture, Arbnori, saw a large number of visitors during the five day exhibition. The goal of this year’s book fair was to promote and provide incentives for young people not to abandon books in the face of increasing competition from technology and the Internet. The book fair included book discussions by authors, debates, and other activities. This fair has been considered one of the most important cultural events of the year and has welcomed authors and publishers from all Albanians book-related businesses, whether outside or inside the state borders. A sign of the growing popularity of the fair was the use of two outside tents to give more space to displaying books. The organizing of the event has been undertaken by an Italian firm, which has provided modern lighting, heating and book storage.
