KORCA, Aug. 30 – Police reported a series of arrests mainly of people who are accused of theft.
Arjan Morava, 26, was arrested in Mbroje village and accused of illegally cutting and trying to sell 10 cubic meter of wood. This is high time for villagers trying to get some earning with the sale of wood needed ahead of winter time.
In Korca a casino was attacked and some 180,000 leks were stolen. The casino is located downtown and police are still trying to find the perpetrator.
In another town in the north, Lezha, also a casino was robbed during the night, the fifth time this year. Perpetrators managed to get some 400,000 leks.
