Tirana, Prishtina strengthen cooperation in fight against organized crime

TIRANA, Oct. 13 – Kosovo Prosecutor General Ismet Kabashi held a visit to Tirana to meet with his host and counterpart Ina Rama and other top officials.
Both institutions spoke about the justice reform and efforts to make their offices independent
Rama also spoke about the positive impact of the operation of the anti-Mafia law in the fight against organized crime.
The two officials spoke about the organized crime, drug and human trafficking, illegal weapon traffic, money laundry, international terrorism and other issues concerning both countries.
Rama and Kabashi signed a memorandum of understanding on the exchange of information, legislation and practices in order to prevent and investigate different forms of crimes.
