TIRANA, Oct. 5 – Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held last weekend meetings in Tirana, marking the first foreign visit of his rank for the new government of Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Davutoglu met with all top officials in the country – President Bujar Nishani, Prime Minister Edi Rama, Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta, Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati and also main opposition Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha.
With Rama, Davutoglu discussed on joint government meetings, a practice that is used in many other countries elsewhere in Europe. The main issues of discussion would be energy, economy health, public order and the army.
