USAID hails Albania’s business reforms

TIRANA, Sep 22 – Henrietta H. Fore, head of U.S. Foreign Assistance and Administrator, USAID, said at the “Doing Business: Five Years of Reform” event held in Washington mentioned the fact of Albania’s higher steps in business following a World Bank report.
Albania was the second amongst the Top Ten Reformers in the world.
USAID also has used Doing Business as a platform for partnership with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). In Albania USAID administers the MCC Threshhold Program that has helped revamp business registration, tax administration, and public procurement through innovative e-government solutions, according to Fore.
