TIRANA, July 31 – The head of Mreshtan village in the southeastern district of Kolonja and two local inhabitants were arrested last weekend after police found two plantations with 560 cannabis plants.
The village head Kujtim Rushiti, 47, is accused of abuse of power for failing to identify the cannabis plantations while the two other men, Aqif Dido, 54, and Etem Beqo, 58, will face charges of cultivation of narcotics. Another person has been declared wanted.
