TIRANA, Oct. 9 – “Vlora in the century of independence.” This is how architect Pirro Stefa has named his exhibition featuring Albania’s southern coastal city where independence was declared 100 years ago. The exhibition which opened on Wednesday at the National Museum of History in Tirana features 400 items such as engravings, drawings, maps, old pictures and stamps part of the author’s personal collection, featuring Vlora’s architecture and life from the early 20th century to present day, nostalgic about the transformation of the old city because of rapid and often chaotic development in the past 20 years.
The exhibition will also be accompanied by a documentary called “Vlora- this city” featuring the transformation of the southern Albanian city during the past 100 years. It will remain open until Oct. 14.
