WHO to hold educative workshops as 33000 laboratories confirm the swine flu pandemic.

TIRANA, August 11؁/H1N1 (swine flu) virus is spreading in Europe and World Health Organization (WHO) confirms that as of August 10, 33,000 laboratory-confirmed cases of pandemic (A/H1N1) were reported from 46 out of 53 European countries.
WHO is planning to conduct workshops in 20 countries of the region in connection with the swine flu. The first workshops will be held in three countries: September 8-10 – Durres (Albania), September 22-24 – Kishinev (Moldova) and October 6-8 – Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan).
The aim of the workshops is to strengthen the potential of the medical facilities, help prepare action plan in emergency situations. Representatives of Health Ministries and head physicians of the leading medical facilities have been invited to the workshops.
