Yields rise as BoA auctions 180 million euros in government bonds

TIRANA, September 30؂ank of Albania said on Wednesday it has sold at an auction on Tuesday 24.2 billion Lek (179.7 million euro) in three-month and twelve-month Treasury bills, as yields rose.
The central bank, which auctions government securities on behalf of the Finance Ministry, sold the entire offer of 11 billion Lek worth of 12-month T-bills, as dealers placed bids worth 13.686 billion leks. Yields edged up to 9.40%, from 9.36% in the previous auction held on September 15.
The Bank of Albania has auctioned Treasury bills worth 300 billion Lek since the beginning of the year. It auctioned T-bills worth 373 billion Lek in par value last year, compared to 386.83 billion Lek in 2007.
