Yields slightly down as BoA sells 87.7 million euro in treasury bills

TIRANA, August 04؂ank of Albania sold at an auction on Tuesday 11.4 billion Lek (87.7 million euro) in 3 and 12 month Treasury bills as yields were mixed, the bank said.
The Bank of Albania sold 6.28 billion Lek worth of three month T-bills which produced a weighted average yield of 6.31%, unchanged from the previous auction held at the end of June.
The bank also sold 5.12 billion Lek worth of 12-month T-bills, as dealers sought to buy 6.2 billion Lek worth of the government securities. Yields edged slightly down to 9.27%, from 9.28% at the previous auction two weeks earlier.
BoA has auctioned Treasury bills worth 238.67 billion Lek since the beginning of the year. It auctioned T-bills worth 373 billion Lek in par value last year, compared to 386.83 billion Lek in 2007.
